Does anyone know if there is a monetary penalty to Baylor for dropping, or was there an option to push the game into the future? If we don't schedule a big draw opponent to fill the Baylor spot (almost a guaranteed sell out), then we stand to lose a lot of money I would imagine.

I would love it if we could fill this slot with a lower level Big Ten team like MN (3 game series). The problem is at this time, all schools except FCS are probably booked for next year.

Don't you think Tech will continue to want to come to Dallas for recruiting purposes? I understand Baylor/Tech series in Dallas will not be continued.

Probably but they are going to have to drop someone and they will now be more likely to demand non-conference home games as the Froggie suggested with their 3 non-conference games

I recommend changing all nonconference games to money games on the road.(including TCU) There will be more purple in the stands than red for tomorrow's game! The dismal attendance for home games doesn't give an advantage to the mustangs and probably deflates the attitudes of the players. If you are a player or coach, which would you rather play...at Michigan in front of 110,000 or Washington State at home in front of 8,000? We make money and maybe knock off a few teams and I think it helps recruiting because most kids want to play in the big-time venues they see on tv. Ref: see FSU and Bobby Bowden's early years. Maybe we can pick up Texas, LSU and Arkansas. Better to do it now whiule teams will still play us.

If this is true, this blows.
Are we attractive enough to ESPN to get them to find someone for us to play on national TV?
Or is NT the best option at this point?

You were hoping Baylor would drop TCU instead? As a matter of fact, they did. They'll honor the contract for a home game against TCU in '11, but after that, no more TCU games. And after last Saturday, who can blame them?

The WAC will have teams available. I'd be on the horn with Army and La Tech to see if they could fill that spot Baylor is vacating. Please no more FCS opponents.

A number of those teams that the big12-- are dropping off their schedules next year may be available.

Get 'em gone; the sooner the better. We should drop the game down there in 2012, too.

Time to upgrade the schedule with some meaningful intersectional opponents, not the bottom-feeders of the Big 12 South.

Good riddance. Now, let's get Tech and A&M off the future schedules, too.
