One thing that last year's game helped me to determine was the significant difference between waterproof and water resistant clothing. In that downpour, water resistant clothing had failed before the end of the 1st quarter.

My wife didn't have a hat, so like a gentleman, I gave her mine. Unfortunately, I don't have any hair, so the rain went right down my head, and down the neck of my jacket.

Maybe this year I should take a big afro wig, just in case it starts raining.

I have a different take on this. I think that inclement weather almost always benefits the underdog. If one team is superior to another all things being equal, then any introduction of an "x" factor into the equation invites an unknown that the favored team would not welcome. For instance, a slick field negates a good deal of TCU's famed defensive speed.

I would say, "don't remind me," but you just did. My memories had only been from on the field... but that was miserable - and wasn't there a ban on umbrellas or some such?

...

But to be quite honest, I don't care if it was "monsooning" in Dallas tonight... there's no place I'd rather be than at "the Ford".

Hard to not be there.

Umbrella and poncho salesmen would benefit most, IMHO.

Slick hands negate receivers' ability to catch the ball.

Rain would definitely benefit TCU since they depend on the pass as much.
