Coach Graham's compliments really came across as genuine and not just set up compliments.

its not disingenuous, its unoriginal and bland. and it's stuff you will hear for every coach about every team they play, no matter who, when, or where.

unless they are rex ryan, but im not sure he is even immune from coach-speak.

yeah, you could hear it when he talked about JJ responding to issues going on his family and/or team.
he seemed sincere in his admiration.

Agreed. I have heard coach speak and set up compliments, and he came across as genuine. Now some of the Tulsa fans, that's another story.

and I'll say for years I've put Graham up there with the Pattersons as far as demeanor and coaches I dislike. Looks like JJ won him over.

Allen HS-Rice-Tulsa and he's done a good job. I wonder if the time between Allen High and the Rice HC job when he was an assistant at WV and then Tulsa is what separates him from the pitfalls Todd Dodge has undergone?

I know I'm close to the situation folks but Todd is a guy who appreciates it when someone does it right and he thinks June Jones does that. Todd is pretty fiery but when he's your guy, you don't want him any other way. I think his comments about coach Jones are pretty genuine.

appreciate your insight. I think this is the first time a media guy from one of our opponents has posted on the board.

No worries, I'm just a college sports geek. I'll also have a video from around and inside your stadium up this weekend. I do videos of the away stadiums and put them up. I'm also a stadium geek. I guess that just makes me a geek no matter how you slice it but I can live with that!
