Never herd of rounding off less than the half way mark to the next whole number.
I'm glad the IRS and comptrollers office has not caught on to this .

The rounding up makes sense to me. First there is no way you can try to get an exact calculation of time played. What if he was injured for 3 plays in a game. Do you take the total number of plays and calculate his actual percentage of competition? That would be impossible to enforce. So a game played is a game played be it one play or all plays. Then comes the question of rounding up or down. In this case it is more fair to the athlete to round up. It gives him the most playing time within the spirit of the rules.

Now as far as the IRS, when they agree to 20% of my income, they can round my gross up to the next highest dollar.

Just asking ......why would he even do that?...he has the documented talent and will be fine and should just go to the NFL Combine (or NOT!.....like Bradford and just do interviews and tests and private try outs)and forget doing another whole friggin season at Cougar High in the damn CUSA???... I mean...REALLY?
Sam Bradford?

Guess he feels he has a lot of unfinished business left at Houston and doesn't want the injury to be the final chapter in his career. What are his odds of actually getting the extra year?

It wouldn't be his real 'final chapter' though...what if he gets hurt again his 'final chapter' at Houston U and it would then indeed become his final....why risk it?..dumb decision IMO. He has proven all he needs to do..go make an NFL team and make his millions and life goes on. Its not like he is going to win a National Championship at UH (?) and his odds of winning the Heisman at Houston against CUSA foes is not good, so then what? And really, 6 years? Six years at UH?
Or is he afraid to graduate, ala Van the Man?
