Its not like it was drizzling. It was a torrential downpur with a delay of over 2-1/2 hours. Having sat there in the pouring rain in a poncho waiting for the game to resume I can tell you it was misserable.

Take shots at the fan attendance all you want for normal circumstances but there was going to be a good showing at the game, the severe weather not withstanding.
