SMU to host Northwestern State in 2011

can't understand when Baylor bailed at the last minute
why the hell we didn't schedule Oklahoma, Notre Dame, or Michigan!

With the exception of NWS, that's a pretty good non conference schedule. You have Navy, with TCU and A&M on the road.

I am more worried about the remaining 4 games of the 2010 season. Move forward or backward. Who knows what our roster will look like next year. Hopefully much improved.

Hey, Northwestern State did BEAT TCU at TCU. Patterson was the Head Coach. It was about 8 or 9 years ago and TCU went I think 4-8 that year. Patterson's only loosing season at TCU. However, TCU beat us that year something like 45-0 at Ft. Worth.

Northwestern State has really fallen off in recent years, they were winless just year ago and haven't looked that great through 7 games this year. We needed a game like this on the schedule, too bad it couldn't have been the opener instead of A&M.

I don't know why anyone is surprised. Isn't this the game that's replacing A&M on the schedule? Virtually all schools have their schedules full already. This is exactly the opponent many of us predicted would fill the vacant spot on the schedule, because few (if any) other schools had the flexibility in their schedules.

This game is replacing Baylor, we open 2011 at Kyle Field versus A&M.
