Okay, buddy, you're officially off the list of possible speakers for a pre-game pep talk. (I couldn't get up every morning if I was the type person who thought that way)

Armed Forces Bowl, it would be a nice once-in-a-lifetime thing to attend a bowl game at Ford with the Mustangs playing in it.
They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security

The Dallas Football Classic, which has conference tie-ins with the Big 12 and the Big Ten?

Btw Hawaii officially accepted the Hawaii Bowl bid this week. Not a surprise but now confirmed: http://www.alohaupdate.com/2010/10/31/h ... nvitation/

Gee...they are going to go bowling in their own stadium...hmmm.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

I see pros and cons to both:
Hawaii Bowl: Great reward for the team, Great Weather, Maybe a better TV time slot? More Money for the program? Better opponen/matchupt? Dallas Weather could be cold/poor conditions.
Armed Forces Bowl: I am in the Military so this would be great to see/support, Tailgaters get one more game, All the winnings would go to the program and much less money is deducted for travel/expenses, This could make a wonderful recruiting event to showcase the Mustangs!
Either way I am stuck in Iraq so I personally dont have any way to get to the game but will be happy to watch it on ESPN.
Thoughts?

Good thoughts from everyone. By the way, you have the option of going back and changing your answer if you've changed your mind based on what you've read here.

1. Liberty Bowl-- C-USA champs [what else is better than that?!] 2. Hawaii Bowl -- As so many of you have said, it's about the kids, and they deserve it. What worries me is that Hawaii is humming right now, and I'm scared we'd get destroyed. 3. Armed Forces -- Another Boulevard on New Year's Eve, would be a blast, and I'm sure a lot of Pony Fans would come (or fly in like me and Raplh/Cutter, etc.)

My suggestion would be to plan for warm weather.

So the opposite of what Florida native, CJ Spiller, is going to have to experience. (great video) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wb_uvLqX6Yg
