MWC should have known better than to shun ESPN the way they did a few years back

The reason we shunned ESPN a few years back is because you never want to get in bed with a monopoly -- if you have a deal with ESPN, you play when and where they want you to. Teams with small fanbases and ESPN deals generally play a lot of games on weekday nights. That's how we got roped into playing on a Friday when we came you y'all's place -- C-USA has a deal with ESPN.

At least with CBS-CS our game with Utah will be on a Saturday. How many people do you think would tune in to a Wednesday night affair?

I'm sitting here halfway between Boston & Montreal, having watched all but 1 of TCU's FBS games.

Pretty sure that we gave TCU a better game than Baylor. I was there.

In fact I actually fly to most SMU games (at least the ones that are not being played in third world countries).

I am thoroughly impressed that you are such a hard core TCU fan that you can manage to sit in your lazy boy and watch the frogs from your cabin in northern Vermont 9 times a year. Great Job - you should get an award.

More than what will watch on Saturday on a channel that only the best sports fans have (admittedly, SMU gets stuck on television's version of purgatory - CBSCS - a good amount of the time as well)

TCU fans missing the point here. We all know hard core fans have access to this game. The point is that we have 2 top 10 teams playing and it's not being carried by any MAJOR network. It just aint right...but a sign that all of us...regardless of how high your ranking might be...are still 2nd class citizens in the world of college football.

On a side note...whodathunk Baylor would hold the key to TCU's hopes of a National Championship bid. If Baylor could run the table and Oregon State or Arizona beat Oregon...TCU vs the SEC?

If cbsc had initial rights to the game, why would they not want to show the game? Don't get do bent out of shape that they didn't sell them to another network. Like someone said earlier, most people didn't expect this to be a matchup of two top five programs.
