Wild bill I'll take a new qb if that's all we need for this one to improve. Just to confirm: he's shaving at this point, right? We don't execute with three year system guys. There really aren't a lot of high school seniors that we can recruit that can add value beyond what guys in the program can. We need to do more with what we have.

Bulsh!....Line up however the hell you want, 4 WRs, 5 WRs...hell I don't care..., but survey the defense then make the call. Don't make it on the sideline before you have even seen what is going on.

June is no offensive miracle worker, don't give him a free pass, this offense is not good, hold him accountable, its not the players, its the scheme.

The run and shoot makes adjustments on the fly so not much need for an audible.

Why not at least leap into the 21st century and lineup and take a gander at the defense..then make your offensive call? Is it so hard.

Yes we have beat Tulsa two years straight, but they have been in two C-USA championship games, Hell they will throttle Houston next week and put us back in the drivers seat.

Still, June is not the long term answer.

June doesn't know what he is doing, otherwise explain calling the play before the defense is even seen, explain scoring 14 points against UTEP, one of the worst defenses in the nation.

The game has past him by, get over it and accept it.

The offensive landscape has passed June by, not his fault, it comes with age. Give me Todd Graham, a recruiting machine with an imaginative offense (who will beat Houston and put us back in it)...Put your 2 million dollars there.

I don't know about Graham for a defensive guy his defenses routinely look like crap, plus JJ beat him the last 2 seasons. Malzahn looked to be the brains behind that operation's early success. I'd love to have him here running the offense.

Malzahn is great, definitely a package deal...at leat they wait to see the defense before they call a play!

if you believe this, will you at least use correct grammar? i.e. "passed", not "past"?

A few tough games offensively and your ready to blow up the offensive game plan... By the way June didn't cause us to screw up the snap on special teams... In fact if anybody took the blame, Dennis McKnight did(as he brought up this play on "The Climb") for not telling the place kick holder (I believe was Braden Smith on that play) to spike the ball if it was a bad snap, because we could re-kick on 4th down. Your not going to score a TD on every drive... Unless your Oregon, then you might...

Good catch! I have updated my post...thank you to the grammer police....just wish our offense was this flexible.

Maybe UTEP watched this YOUTUBE video and figured it out...How could one of the worst defenses in the country hold the mighty June Jones Run and Shoot to 14 points?

HINT~~!!!!! (because it is outdated, predictable, and uneffective)

Made this post in another thread, but it seems to be needed here, too:

It's not like we are playing the cream of the crop in terms of defenses. Here is a recap:

Tech 98th ranked defense
UAB 95
Wazzu 116
TCU 1 (the oddball on this list)
Rice 108
Tulsa 81
Navy 29
Houston 82
Tulane 96
UTEP 50

With the exception of TCU, Rice and Navy, we have scored fewer points than each of those teams gives up on average every week, and by nearly a full 6 points. Our offense is simply bad, and the penalties make it worse.

The man works fast, this is his 5th year as an OC (at 3 different schools) and at each stop he has vastly improved the offense in his first year. He seems to adapt well to the talent on hand and likes to get tons of players involved. He'll be a HC somewhere very soon.

Thank You for that post...Everyone needs to take their June Junes Colored Sunglasses off and realize how bad this is...This offense SUX...its soft, unimaginative, unflexible.

It is OK to admit we are outdated...Yes, Like Navy, we can still have our moments, Hell, we still may win conference.

But don't kid yourself this is good..the wave of the future....Any offense that makes the QB come over to the sideline each play, call a play, without even seeing the defense is outdated. Hell, June can keep his offense, do what you do, but at leat line up and look at the defense before you call a play, Maybe, JUST MAYBE, you will score more than 14 against UTEP.
