I don't think we had one game where the offense AND defense were on the same page for ALL 4 quarters......that's a shame.

Yeah that courage sure made him hit all those wide open SMU receivers and helped us score 28 points today. Oh, wait...

This isn't about a cojone check. This is about making basic, drive killing mistakes multiple times in the championship game.

Too many freshman mistakes which oddly enough he didn't make as a freshman.

He had more than enough time all game. Did you not watch it? OL did a fine job.

Kaiser is solid and will be a nice addition, not looking forward to this turning into a Padron love fest. Everyone who had the volume turned down during the game, secrets out of the bag. Kyle gets twitchy, can't find receivers and panics. I'm patiently waiting for Kaiser

If he tears it up in the bowl again then we won't hear a discouraging word about Padron.

Yeah and all we'll hear is "Well he played really well in the bowl games so we can't pull him" or "He'll come around he's only a junior" or "How do you know Kaiser will be any better?" blah, blah, blah, etc.

bottom line, both guys will get a chance next year in Spring ball and the best qb will win. Then Preston comes in, who may be competing as well. I love the qb competition we will have over the next 3-5 years.

Exactly, he couldn't put any mustard on the ball. Those deep balls floated on him, have never seen that before. Either he couldn't really step into things or there was some crazy wind.

When Kyle screws up, JJ tells him about it on the sideline. Today, JJ was patting him on the back and saying good effort. That tells me there was some other stuff going on besides Padron just flat out playing bad.

Most of this year I have bemoaned the fact that Al dropped too many balls. Today, however, Al played his best game of the year. Unfortunately Kyle did not. The defense played as well as we could expect especially without Moore and Yenga. But, Kyle was a big disappointment. He has had 17 or 18 starts without showing much improvement. I do not believe he will be our quarterback next year. Yes he has courage. Yes he has talent. But, his mind is not quick enough to make his reads in this offense and he is not composed under pressure. We are still looking for a quarterback and when we find one it will probably take a year for him to learn the offense. SMU is a perfect place for a very good quarterback to come. A very good quarterback can have an outstanding career.

I am very proud of the offensive line and the receivers. The defensive line is average, the linebackers are good against the run and below average against the pass. The secondary is not very good, except for Moore.

The best thing about this game is it is the biggest game these kids have ever played in and should help them the next time they get a chance like today.

Given Padron and the defense level of play, even at their best, I am glad we are not playing Georgia in the bowl. I would hate to see June embarrassed again.

Just as an FYI, Preston graduates in Dec and will be enrolling this coming January.

I don't think we are ready to play Georgia yet IMO. I think we will be ready in about 3 years. Would have been a fun trip though.
