As I've said before, it will be a very happy day when I have to actually sit in the seats that appear on my ticket because those are the only seats available.
Apparently you missed the TCU game this year.

Can't because of University Park
UP is wet now. passed in November. they sell beer in the stadium club at regular season home games. don't know whey they wouldn't at this one, unless the AFB just didn't want to mess w/ it.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

There was a provision inserted by the UP board that prohibits retail sale of alcohol within 300 feet of any school, or 1000 feet if a private school (read SMU) deems it necessary.

take your grievance and air it on the around the hilltop board
I will not make age an issue in this campaign. I'm not going to exploit for political purposes my opponent's youth and inexperience.

SMU is not an elementary or middle or high school, it is a university. I doubt that provision applies to SMU.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Turner tried to insert a provision to keep it a certain distance from SMU

I am sure the provision applies especially to SMU. The last thing that UP wants is more drunken college kids running around or going to bars and driving home through UP. SMU doesn't want any outside liquor vendors anywhere near campus. I am sure that 1,000 feet goes from the edge of the property line not the nearest building.

SMU sells alcohol in the stadium club (was able to do this pre-election because it is an enclosed private club). SMU also sells alcohol at the Mustang Club tent every Boulevard.
In other words, we can sell alcohol if we want.
All arguments to the contrary ignore the facts.

Did anyone argue that SMU doesn't sell alcohol?
