Plane flyovers, Lighting up the side of the apts by Norhtpark (ala TCU game). With the number of people packing it into the mall this week, the visibility would be huge. If we can pull this off for the Marshall game, you would think a bowl game would be a no-brainer.
Last year the AFB had billboards, none this year. No print ads, no radio ads, nothing on tv, zippo. We were told by playing at home in the AFB, SMU would receive great coverage and publicity, how many stories have you seen on the local tv stations or in the DMN and FWST? In fact the DMN hasn't had a writer at practice in numerous days now. Most of the DFW metroplex, is oblivious to this game.
you guys will love this. There are AFB banners on streetlights etc around downtown Ft Worth

I think the Armed Forces Bowl thought with a base of 12,000 tickets sold and each school getting 10,000 ticket alottments that it really wasnn't necessary to waste money on promoting the game with SMU playing on its home field in its first mainland bowl in 26 years.

No amazement at the mood on here. We're going to a BOWL GAME. We're SMU. Remember the Bottom 10? Years of losing? Hello?
