Re: DJ3 on Academic SuspensionThis is disappointing news. It is pretty crappy that he can't pass more than 6 hours of class. He never really turned into "the truth" for Mustang fans.
Re: DJ3 on Academic SuspensionI would expect a big game from him Thursday. He is auditioning for a Div 1AA or lower school.
All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: DJ3 on Academic Suspensionso to date I guess JJ's biggest receiving recruit has been Cole Beasley, and take D3 off the list of those who will emerge beyond Cole's level.
Re: DJ3 on Academic SuspensionInterestingly I ran across a new policy effective September 2009 that more clearly defines Academic Probation and Academic Suspension for Undeclared Dedman College students. If he were Academically Suspended then it looks possible that suspension could be for 1 term but not necessarily. Looks like he could be subject to both NCAA and SMU Academic Progress Toward Degree requirements

Re: DJ3 on Academic SuspensionI guess there is a little "T.O." in a lot of wide receivers - their sense of entitlement
drives me around the bend.
Re: DJ3 on Academic Suspension
way i read it he talked to them. that just means answering a phone call from a head hunter and hearing what they have to say. i'm just glad we have something different to ponder around here than what color our fans are going to wear to a game. Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally
Re: DJ3 on Academic SuspensionI think June was wearing black when he talked to them.
My oldest son said he would bolt if some big gig offered him 5 mill I said he wouldn't . Now if SF49ers offered I think you would see burnt rubber, and could you hold it against him? I don't think so..

Beasley was a PB recruit but Line is a JJ guy. Last edited by ozfan on Tue Dec 28, 2010 8:46 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Re: DJ3 on Academic Suspension
good point...so...anyone? Keenan Holman I guess, based on # of catches?
Re: DJ3 on Academic Suspension
Jeremy Johnson, Cole Loftin looked pretty good in the little playing he got in 2008 and 2009, hopefully he can recover from his latest knee injury. They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security

PB may not have been such a bad judge of receiver talent....ES, AR, CB ... All 1k yard receivers hmmm. Sent from my KOREAN knockoff using Tapdance 5
Re: DJ3 on Academic SuspensionRodney Bradley too at Hawaii was pretty good when he wasn't injured-non-qualifier at SMU. Has about 80 catches for 1,100 yards over 2 abbreviated years. 18 ypc last year

Re: DJ3 on Academic Suspension
To my knowledge June has NEVER said DJ was the best on the team. Nor has June ever suggested that DJ was draftable. The closest thing I've ever heard to that is Jeff Reinebold once commented that DJ can be as good as DJ wants to be. Which suggests that DJ has a lot of potential and hint that perhaps he's not fully taping into that potential. "It's a couple hundred million dollars. I'm not losing sleep over it." -- David Miller
Re: DJ3 on Academic Suspension
June said that DJ was in his opinion "the best WR in the state" the year DJ committed
