That helmet is SICK!!!!

Is it possible that the little Mustangs are trying to intimidate the United States Army?!?!
Jones said he would probably reach out to Patterson "after he settled down a little bit." Then Jones laughed.

Well if it's that easy to get black helmets why can't we get our RETRO red (crimson) helmets from the 40's or 60's - especially the cool ones that Doak's era used with the red stripe & crimson helmet?
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

Wasn't it Jones who said earlier this year he trains his QB to make reads off of helmet colors, or something to that effect. Hope this change (and relative similarity to the Army camo helmets) doesn't throw Kyle off today.

I'd be ok with this if we weren't playing the BLACK Knights.

Yes, the team seemed really inspired by the black jerseys.

Just think if we had worn red or blue. We would have lost by three touchdowns.

I've got a great idea next year before the a$m game lets gather up these uniforms and have a bonfire and burn them!

I was ok with the black jerseys today, but would have liked to have seen us go all the way. What happened to the black helmets? Are there black pants?

I think the black-out was a horrible idea. I'd be marginally ok with a black-out if the team went all black and our opponent wasn't the black friggin knights. A lot of SMU fans on the 'vard today were sporting black.

For years, we've had a hard time just getting our fans to wear red and blue. Now we want them to wear black? It just boggles the mind.

I will say this, the black jerseys looked very close to the navy blue we used to wear back when Ford Stadium opened. That wasn't a bad look.

Any chance we can get JJ to compromise on wearing black if we go to a dark, dark navy blue? Like the shade of navy blue the New York Yankees wear. Unless I look really closely, Yankees caps and pinstripes always look black to me.

Wearing black is a very bad idea. I understand the idea of wearing black as a tribute to our troops but these are not SMU's colors. Harvard red and Yale blue actually mean something and should be the colors SMU's teams wear. Take your choice on the combination but black ain't SMU.

Georgia keeps trying to trot out black jerseys (and it's one of their colors!) and they usually have horrible results. If the way this team performed today is the result of them being pumped up, I'd say burn those things tonight and fire the next person who brings it up again!

I think you just fired our Coach because he is ONLY person responsible

Actually the person who needs to be fired is spending money on rented geldings for the team to follow to the stadium. I thought the team was "so attached to the 'mustangs'" that it was an emotional lift. If that's the case then how could having a substitute fire them up.

Mojo High school colored jerseys.
Substitute geldings.

It just gets stranger and stranger...
