Most of you should know by now...Our concessions have always been 3rd rate at Moody and Ford. It hasn't changed. Campisi's pizza is about the only thing I might wait for.

I would suggest always eating at tailgate or MC beforehand. Why would you want to miss any of the game anyway? Hell - even at a Cowboys or Mavs game, I typically eat before b/c the prices and food usually suck.

You might want to check where Blue Mesa is headquartered. They of course have one location in Fort Worth and one in Southlake as well as several locations in Dallas County.

From what I can tell Blue Mesa is owned by Southwest Management, whose address is as follows:

11520 N. Central Expressway #201
Dallas, TX 75243

Agreed. Did all those jokers wearing purple or burnt orange to an SMU-Army game think they were cute?

More colors in the spectrum made the Polka Dot Bowl even more spectacular. (BTW it is their Bowl and I bet most were just continuing their sponsorship)

I don't know what jokers you could possibly be referring to. There were hardly any SMU students at the game, so who were wearing purple/burnt orange?

The problem with Ford concessions, that I can see, is that they are run by various groups to raise money for their charity or youth group or whatever. Same deal at Moody. They aren't doing this for a living so there's an inherent lack of motivation and skill.

Plus, the concession stands aren't outfitted with cash registers with the menu programmed in. Having an amateur concession stand worker try to figure out the change, or punch the numbers in on a hand-held calculator, greatly slows down the process.

I doubt we're going to see anyone invest in computerized cash registers for a facility that hosts so few events. I wonder if there's some reason the concession companies that staff the AAC, Cowboys Stadium, etc. can't also handle Ford and Moody?

One simple solution would be to sell food items in the stands. I did see some beverage hawkers in the stands, but nobody selling hot dogs, pretzels, bags of kettle corn - items that can easily be carted around. I would gladly pay $1 more per item if I didn't have to leave my seat.

And yeah, I used to fill up before games so I didn't have to bother with the concession stands. Then I had kids... The little rugrats barely eat anything for days at a time, but as soon as we get to to a ballgame they're starving.

Two things about school colors. First, if I had gone to the Rose Bowl this year I would have worn SMU gear. Second, cut the UT folks some slack. They did not have a bowl game to go to this year. They were lost and suffering.

Wish I had seen that tent. I would have walked up cheerfully and thanked them for their support, and just so that I could return the favor... "I've let it slip my mind, when's the Longhorn game again?"

You should have seen the will call area. a trailer parked in front of it with permanent will call instructions high over the windows and then as people got closer they were able to see paper temporary signs posted so low nobody could see them except for the front people so everyone would stand in line for 30 minutes before finding they were in the wrong line! Poor reflection on SMU the way it was handled but who cares, no more bowls here. You would have thought they were handling a six-man high school playoff game!

There were only two areas where pizza and Chik Fil A sold, which were miles away through throngs of people to get to. Then, lines were too long once you got there. The only thing of substance sold at the other spots were hot dogs, which were extremely salty and hard to get down. In the third quarter, I broke down and decided to fight the crowds to get a Campesi's pizza. Waited in line for 10 minutes during the game, get to the front of the line, and then the dude tells me its gonna be 10 more minutes on the pizza. What???? There's a frickin' game going on, dude!! Make more damn pizzas in the first place!!

Eat before you go, moron. Go to the game to watch football, not EAT. How many freakin' meals do you eat each day?
