Non Texas schools.

Ohio State If the state of Ohio were swallowed up by a huge earthquake, I would wave goodbye to the few non Ohio residents that just happen to be passing through.

Arkyland By far and away the worse in the SWWC. However, as bad as they were, they were like overall wearing romper room kids compared to OSU.

BYU Crummy attitude by the players. Still have to put up with BYU fans that think the Holiday Bowl is better than a third wife.

Ditto here. I don't really care for those dirt bags from Houston either. Pony Up!

Baylor and Texas in a dead heat...I was at SMU virtually the same time as ponyte, and walked out (limped) of Baylor's stadium after the Ford fumble at the goal line...you would have thought that Baylor fans/players had gone to DisneyWorld...never forget Mike Ford coming out of the locker to go to the bus (in tears), and a fine upstanding Baylor dad grabbing him and stating "nice hands"...being a Baptist minister adds a bit of curry to a win against 'Jerusalem on the Brazos'...still mad about that...need to go pray.

Texas because:
-arrogance that is endemic...
-Deloss Dodd, and the employment of above arrogance...
-without doubt the 'whinyest' fans of the old SWC...when SMU beat Texas in Austin my last year, the Texas fans were complaining that our band kept playing "that song" while they were trying to play the Eyes of Texas...
-Edwin Simmons....
-the NCAA equivalent of 'most favored nation status' in things kosher and not-so-kosher...
-did I mention the death of the SWC?
stable-boy for the four horsemen of the apocalypse

UT is the rogue state--sort of like Quadaffi--Re: NCAA, "Who Me?", "But we're Texas".

UT without a doubt. They dumped the SWC leading the way to the Big XII and because they have a deal to play OU in Dallas, they have no need to play us anymore. UA is second because they started the collapse of the SWC by leaving for the SEC. Don't really hate the Aggies so much as pity them. Next is UH. Hanging 90+ points on us, no class. Then TCU. After that Baylor, if for no other reason than they gave us Ann Richards. I don't really hate the Sand Aggies or the Owls.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

UT, not even close, in all sports. I enjoyed that our Swim Teams never lost to them.

We dominated the swimming when I was there (68-72).

1964-68, when I was there and those results were true before and after until the early 70's. Never lost a dual meet to the Longhorns in that time and had 17 consecutive SWC Swimming & Diving Championships in that era.

I might add that SMU recently honored Coach A. R. "Red" Barr as one of six of the latest Hall of Fame inductees. Former and current swimmers and coaches filled 11 tables at the event. Quite a legacy for the team, but Coach Barr launched the SMU program and was recognized as a wonderful man and coach.

Houston is the worst. The classless thrashing they gave an undermanned SMU team in 1989 (It think) was an all time low.

Their coach - John Jenkins claimed that he didn't have any running plays in his play book. All they knew to do was air it out downfield.

Trust me. This classlessness left a bad taste in alot of mouths and when they are brought up for expansion talks the stench is still there. UH is a public university, in the 4th largest media market in the nation and can't manage better than CUSA.

I always accepted the fact that UT and A&M were the flagship universities of the state and would always rule the roost. SMU and our like would compete occasionally by didn't have the alumni base of presence to win consistently.

I'm jealous of TCU and see them as the shining example of how to make lemonade out of lemons. Only wish we could have shaken off the DP quicker than we did. However, being in Dallas and not the Fort is a huge advantage that will erode away the TCU advantage.

Ya'll probably know that I have to rank ut #1 because I HATE them!!! They have the ugliest color in the world, the ugliest mascot EVER and the biggest A-holes for fans EVER!
Since I was raised going to SMU games, I have to say there were 2 games when my Daddy booed and one was when we played Arkansas and Frank Broyles kept running on the field screaming at officials and the other was when we were in Houston at a Rice game (during my college years) and Rice was introducing their players from the past and once again, I heard some boos from my Dad..........apparently the guy they introduced had put an out of bounds, cheap shot on our guy and hurt him and my Dad remembered him so many years later.
So I guess I kind of inherited my dislike for Arkansas, hog hats and for Rice.

I love seeing the mighty UT fall on their face like they did last year, but for my money Houston or Baylor win the dirtbag prize.
