Guess we're waiting for operation yard sign again in the fall
I heard the same NT ad during the Musers show this morning. I just laughed and shook my head. Rich enough to replace the turf and locker rooms, but no spare change for a billboard or 15 sec radio spot. As for stadium-related sponsors, it should be a milk company. Our crowds have been 'missing' for two decades now.
Not positive but I think Georgio is a NTSU alum and always drops the name when he gets a chance.

you are correct. So's our play by play guy, who to his credit chimes in with an SMU reference here and there

Weak, very weak. We used to have commercials and some "June Cometh" billboards when June got here, blew our wad I guess So sad... a radio spot surely can't be all that expensive. Terrible excuse.... "Season Ticket special " if you buy before July 15th....etc.

How many season tickets are sold via a radio spot or other?
Is it better to run adds for individual games?

I'm surprised TCU is advertising season tickets. I thought the scuttlebut was that they weren't going to have enough seats available for their current season ticket holders due to the stadium renovations.
The donkey's name is Kiki.
On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?
Good, Bad...I'm the one with the gun.

What was wrong with the old offices? It would be one thing if that money came from private donations, like Coach Jones's salary, but somehow I doubt it did. skyscraper wrote:Rich enough to replace the turf and locker rooms, but no spare change for a billboard or 15 sec radio spot.
The turf makes sense — a worn-out rug can lead to injuries — and locker rooms have recruiting value, but marketing this team has to be a priority. Steve-O is supposed to be a master fund-raiser ... raise the funds and market the program.

Someone is going to call in and be told "there aren't any left, but would you like to place your name on the waiting list for next season?" Boom. Already have a buyer for when the expanded stadium opens.

Sell some sponsorships. I'll bet the freaking grand prairie airhogs have a corp sponsor or two (or three) that underwrites some of their expenses. "Coming to you live from Ghengis Grill Plaza at SMU's Ford Stadium" MetroPCS Ford Stadium Pizza Patron Blvd
We should take it a step further and sell sponsorships of sections of the stadium. Sewell Automotive Section 103 AT&T Section 106 NTTA Invites You to Use Highway 121 Section 121
Its about time we had Sewell valet on the Boulevard

For what it's worth, when we hired Orsini away from UCF, a few of their fans were saying that he was "great at fundraising but weak in marketing."
His tenure here his certainly bore that out.

I hope the Airhogs do. I went to the game the other night. There were exactly 87 people in attendance.

For one thing, they were old. The input from the Cavan/Copeland regime - regarding layout, construction and function was misguided, at best. Anything was going to be better than the pre-fab from which they were working. Continuous upgrade of facilities - including offices - is important.

They were so old they had the same carpet as when [deleted] Tomey coached and June played here.

What is keeping us from starting a nonprofit and collecting donations. The donations would be strictly put towards billboards, radio advertisements, etc.....

Would love that to happen. How do you work side by side with the Mustang Club/Athletic Department?
