Isn't Rice usually Homecoming on years they play in Dallas? I think Houston in the other years.

Tulane - homecoming, NWst - family weekend

UTEP, Navy - should be ok

TCU this, TCU that...TC who?

a tad bit of marketing would help too, despite our own fans/alumni not showing love..

it will be a big sign of improvement if we can average 20,000 per home game this season. Will need big crowds for the opener with UTEP and for Navy to have any hope. I doubt we draw 20k for any of the other home games unless these guys go out and beat A$M and TCU and our DFW alumni jump on the bandwagon

I'm beginning to wonder if the best way to get our young alumni to buy season tix wouldn't be to get limited edition Affliction tees as a bonus. Or maybe invitation only watching parties for away games at J-blacks :)

I think fielding a better than .500 team would go a long way.

Did we change our radio partner to KRLD from the Ticket? I must have missed this or the game schedule I saw was wrong.

I sure hope not. Yes, KRLD's coverage area/signal strength is better, but if SMU was looking for yet another way to go further away from the sports conciousness of the DFW sports fan, going from being on The Ticket to anything else is a good way of doing so

Operating under the assumption the SMU web site is up to date is usually not a good idea...

Right, that's why I was fishing for confirmation--although I don't trust my lying eyes anymore either!

I understand that the majority of the Dallas-FW area doesn't pay attention to Conference blowSA, but if we hyped up the 2010 championship rematch with UCF this year, attendance could top 25,000 for sure! Just a little marketing from the business school is all it takes.
