Acknowledge some more, Myrdel. I before e except after c? How about beige, codeine, either, feisty, foreign, freight, heifer, heir, neither, seismic, seize, society, weight. Is coming up with this small sample of exceptions a bit WEIRD?

Totally agree RGV. I recited an elementary school rhyme and froggie wants to prove he is smarter than a 5th grader. It is a shame that many of the words above are pronounced with the "a" sound but let's let him win the prize.

Prof. Myrdal, want to get specific? MANY of the words above are pronounced with the "a" sound? Which ones? They may be with your Highland Park accent, but check the dictionary. Your recitation of an "elementary school rhyme" must reach the limits of your education. And this does have to do with football, doesn't it?
