Not surprised that we may be top 40 quality...

Very surprised we're getting top 40 love!

What does Rivals.com know that we don't? Many of us have predicted no better than last year's results (.500) yet Rivals thinks we are the class of CUSA and better than at least a 1/3 of BSC schools. So why the big difference?

Don't forget Wilkerson will be back.

That is yet to be determined.

What does that mean? I thought this was settled?

Clemson might be ranked 40, but they'll under-perform, as they do every single year, and wind up around 10-20 spots lower. Besting the biggest tease in the ACC isn't fishy, but I still think they forgot us.

Clemson will have a 1st year QB; we have a guy playing his 3rd year and protected by a veteran line that will also be opening holes for CUSA's leading rusher...with a defense that might be as good as last year's. More people are taking note of these Mustangs. This is the year to make some noise and expect better than 7-5, despite what appears to be a very challenging schedule.

I would expect the defense to be better than last years.......what am I missing?

I agree. I think both the offense and defense will be improved this season. I still have us at 9-3, even with the more difficult schedule.

If, big if, we flip the turnover issue, I think we could be a top 40 team.
