We think alike, you and I. Made a similar purchase. Someone will want to sit on the 50.
We are in an 'economic downturn' after all. Football is probably one of the best investment vehicles out there right now.

Did season ticket holders outside of Dallas get this offer? I have not received anything. I have purchased my seats for the Armed Forces Bowl but have nothing from Ticket City. Anyone?

I have no interest in buying tickets for this or the armed forces bowl with the idea of turning around and selling them to alums of the schools who will be there.
I understand the attraction that you could make a profit marking it up at face value. But no thanks.
I did with these mailers like I did with them last year -- in the trash.

Totally disagree Mitch. If SMU is in the Armed Forces Bowl I have my 104 seats at $20.00 under face value each. If SMU is not in it, I have the option of watching BYU vs CUSA in what is a nicely put on Bowl, or selling the tickets which even at face value would pay for my invested money time. It is a win win.
I do have doubts about the Ticket City but may buy a couple in advance in case we may be in it.

Well, I plan on being in Memphis for the Liberty Bowl to watch SMU play. Of course, if SMU is fortunate to become CUSA champions, I'm sure our master manipulator head coach will do everything in his power to exclude the SMU faithful by farting around in Hawaii because that's what is in his best interest and not the school.
It's always been about what's in it for June and everybody else be damned.

Would love to be supporting SMU football and farting around in Hawaii at the end of December. Let somebody else "enjoy" Memphis.

My second hope is for a CUSA Championship followed by a Liberty Bowl victory over an SEC team. My first hope is at least 7 wins. After 7 wins the chips can fall however they wish, and I will not be upset.

If SMU wins CUSA, the Mustangs need to be in Memphis. So we'll "enjoy" Memphis. And you can go watch the Armed Forces Bowl.
If Jones really wants to do what's best for the school -- that would be a first for him -- then the team needs to be in the 48.
All he has to do is look at how much SMU fans eventually gobbled up those Armed Forces Bowl tickets. It took us a little bit, but SMU sold its allocated number. SMU fans are always waiting and watching and need to be shown something before they go all in. Hawaii draws a finite number. Memphis creates an opportunity for more people to go.
My hope is that someday Jones puts SMU first and not himself -- on anything.
June's ego matches that of Mack Brown and Bob Stoops. The difference is those coaches are very inclusive and "get it" when it comes to making the school a big part of anything and being proud to represent the university in any capacity.
Jones doesn't talk much about SMU unless he's screaming for a contract extension, ramming the "Save the Wild Horses Foundation" down our throat or announcing he's pulling out of the running for the Maryland job or something like that.
