I don't see this as an "offical" maketing video. Posted by somone who has put up some vids to promote SMU. Someone in the athletic office?? Anything at this point is better than nothing, but yes, SMU should be putting together some stuff. Heck, I bet there would be some Film/TV students willing to give it a go. I know back in my day I would have. Do agree with the JMakk vid. Good remix for the kids.

I hope we have some marketing ideas beyond this video. With the quality development of the football program, it is almost amazing the apparent lack of marketing direction at present.There has got to be more to developing this program than just raising money and then cashing pay checks. We can't get in a bcs conference with a "white out" or a "red out" in a sea of empty blue seats.

If this is official, then I am embarrassed as an alum. If they didn't plan on doing it right, they shouldn't have done anything. I have never been a guy that slams the athletic department on this board and I try to be fair in all things, but this is not professional quality.

Game Day Tailgating Tents for Sale

DENTON, Texas (6/28/11) - North Texas Athletics announced the sale of Game Day Tailgating Tents for fans of the Mean Green to purchase. These tents are a must for tailgaters to show your support of the Mean Green on game days, as North Texas football moves into its new home at Mean Green Stadium.

Supporters of the Mean Green can either purchase tents in two different sizes. A nine foot-by-nine foot tent runs for $225, and a nine foot-by-18 foot tent is priced at $375.

To order, contact Matt Phillips at 940-369-8409 or [email protected]. Orders must be placed by July 22nd to have the tents in by the first home football game at Mean Green Stadium on September 10.

For me it is not really the video. I appreciate anyone putting forth the effort to promote SMU Football. It is just the lack of marketing, that I don't see, that is hard to understand.
