Though it is not going to be easy to find a Texas recruiter who can do the job anything like Coach Klemm does in CA., I must admit that I do think Coach Jones needs to bring in someone as a Texas recruiting coordinator to give us a better shot with top Texas athletes. However, in defense of their ability to find recruits, who had few offers if any, lets remember the names of Margus Hunt, Keenan Holman, Sterling Moore, JG Davis, Torlan Pitman, Taylor Reed, Richard Crawford, Kyle Padron, and of course Zack Line. All these guys were starters last year or the year before in Pitman's case, and represent some of our best players last year. Yet Nobody wanted most of these guys. I'm sure there will be more new unheard of names this year. Two of our present 2012 DE commits may not have any other offers yet, but when you get a chance at a couple of DE/DTs who are athletic, 6'4" and 6'5" and run 4.7 forties you take them. One year in the weight room, some weight gain, and you have some bad [deleted] big, fast, and strong DE/DTs. That is OU/UT DL type size and speed.
