As is my personal policy, I wouldn't have put it out there unless the people I talked to felt pretty confident in that.

I did leave it in the form of a question with the TCU people. Nonetheless, glad it worked out.

I did talk to the TCU ticket office and they said the Aug. 15 single-game seat sale applies to this. The representative wasn't aware if TCU was releasing more tickets to SMU or not.

Guess we're just going to have to take our chances unless we don't get more.

Since we have not had rain in six months, they are ahead of schedule. The lights are already up. We also have another night game the Saturday before your game. We have heard nothing about moving any of the games.

SMU-TCU Game Moved To Oct. 1
Kickoff set for 2:30 p.m.

Aug. 1, 2011

FORT WORTH, Texas (SMU) - SMU's football game against TCU has been moved to Saturday, Oct. 1, at 2:30 p.m. and will be televised on CBS Sports Network. The game was previously scheduled for Friday, Sept. 30.

The Mustangs report to campus this Friday and will hold their first practice Saturday.

Tickets for the upcoming season are going fast. For more information, contact the SMU Ticket Sales Office at (214) SMU-GAME (768-4263).

I am predicting an early and cool fall season. October 1 will be pleasant. Just hope there is not something to cause a Houston type delay if there are no lights available. Traditionally the home team gets the calls in their favor in the dark.

Why wouldn't they just move it to Ford or Jerryworld? If Ford, do two home games in Ft. Worth when its finished? We could easily get 40,000 plus at Jerryworld and build on the future.

Because we need six home games to appeal to season ticket holders and MWC screwed us by moving the Boise game.
