Disagree-can any of you think for yourself. Can you have any opinion that doesn't suck the truth out of reality if it involves an SMU opponent? What's overrated is beating Tit-ta-le-Wink U. just to go to the Trash-Compacter Bowl

you honestly think that watching a bunch of boy scouts march up and down the field is exciting?

Yeah and I always love to hear "When the Bears Come Marching In", "Callin' the Hogs" and the Eyes of Texas" too. Its part of our heritage. Now can one of you name a single Fight Song of one of our opponents in CUSA? Didn't think so. The Aggie traditions add to the "Color and Pageantry" of College Football. Not much of that left around here. When we actually beat someone we care about beating then you might recall the feeling.

Point taken, let me rephrase.

"Stay and watch the halftime show. Its pretty good as far as marching band performances go. Sure, its no summer blockbuster movie, and features no explosions or laser lights to hold your attention. But, hey, its probably the best college halftime marching band performance that you are likely to see. So, if you think that may be something that interests you, then I would recommend watching it over going to the concession stand during that 20 minute stretch of your day."

Texas Fight UTEP style and the restyled Marty Robbins song=UTEP.

and halftime & beating someone don't really go hand in hand. Last time we went to Kyle Field I was looking forward to it, as I was excited to compare it to the 3 or 4 SEC games and 2 SEC championship games I had attended the previous couple of years, in addition to halftime at Notre Dame. Bad decision to compare the experiences.

Tech halftime > aggy halftime.

Aggies are annoying and insane, but I hope they remain this way. There just isn't a lot of things in life with a good solid gimmick that everyone goes along with.

It's a lot more fun to hate something like the aggies than a bunch of SMU-style lazy disinterested fans with generic gamedays like UAB, UNT, etc..

Is the halftime show when our cheerleader gets on the field and knocks the cadet down?

Not sure why this matters or is relevant. You must not play fantasy though, because everyone knew what he was doing.

The best half time show involving the Aggies was in Houston against Rice in the early 70's (71-74). The MOB in their own way wanted to honor Reveille, by playing the "Yogi Bear" theme song, while forming the shape of a dog as they marched down the field; ending with the formation hiking the dog's leg to P. The Corp took offense and charged the field. Always an answer to a lesser foe having satirical fun, violence! Way to go Aggies.

No fantasy, it's not relevant, nor does it matter. Perfect fit for this board.

relevant because Bob Davie can be heard on the commentary of the clip, who used to coach at A&M, which is featured prominently in this thread
