Love marching bands.

Except for the fact that SMU's never really... marches. Hard to get psyched about a band that just stands in the middle of the field each performance.

Sorry for the hate, but seriously, what happened to marching?

Well, I'm sure the band wants you to be "psyched". The Mustang Band still has the 8 to 5 going... the classic marching band style. It's those goofy drum-and-bugle-corps "bands" performing an operetta that are irritating - shuffling around the field on their tip toes with more props than the Dallas Summer Musicals. Not at a football game. Bands like that are the best reason to volunteer to go stand in line at the concession stand. Hubba.

I have been told the new Band Hall will cost approximately $3 mil. I think they have about $2 mil. Those of you who are connected to the band can enlighten us. Whatever, the cost it is long overdue. I play their CD prior to games on TV. They get me fired up. Love them!
