I think the pharmacy program he is talking about is actually a drug rehab program for students- they get confused real easily up there in denton. :P

Yes that's it.

Have you forgotten it is SMU's first priority to blackball NTSU from any conference we are in?

Somehow whenever someone mentions UNT, Jt comes out of the woodwork. Like a 6th sense.

In all fairness, they had no way to go but up.

True, and the fact that he was able to use "ascendency" in a complete sentence is evidence of their progress.

I know a few people who are going into UNT as freshmen this year. They're going there as a last resort because UTD rejected them, ouch. Anyway, as for the rivalry thing, DFW has had one of those for nearly a century, it's SMU/TCU.

Hey, that may say more positive about UTD than negative about UNT. UTD is on the move and SMU had better watch them. I'm personally more worried about the good things UTD is doing over any other North Texas school. I took a couple of classes there to complete a certification and their SOM is very nice (not nearly as good as Cox, but gaining...).

Got my Bachelor's degree there, so you won't hear me disagree with your point. My post was just meant to indicate that UNT is hardly the only institution on the rise, especially with a newer one that has eclipsed it in rankings in such a short time.

Subtle point in that we don't really know how the future will turn out with realignment. One can only hope that realignment improves our position.

The game isn't played during rivalry week. Guys, you just have to accept that TCU has kinda moved on. They are about to return to big boy land in an AQ conference. Show me one storied rivalry between an AQ and non-AQ school. Sure, there are plenty of series that continue between AQ and non-AQ teams, but no one confuses Rice/Texas or ND/Navy as epic rivalries.

Right or wrong, TCU fans and alums are going to view your game in a lesser stature over time. The game has already lost luster by being moved to September. Not rubbing your noses in it, just fact.

Over time, you will want a rival who still values a game with you. You won't have to look far.
