I like the look of Ford. Its a classic bowl shape. Like a mini-Rosebowl.

What have you done today to bring people to ford this week?

I just gave away two cheap seats to my neighbor he's bringing his girl.

The other neighbor asked me for seats to next weeks game.

You buy 2 extra and give them to perspective fans each week that have not ever been here. If everyone does this each week its a sell out

These plans (specifically priority 4) show we are financially committed to become a member of a BCS Conference. All we need now is 50,000 fans to fill it up. At this point, we go up a floor and become a member of a BCS Conference, or fall two floors and get left behind with second tier (small private schools and regionally named state schools) schools to play in a second tier division of college football, due to the greedy, selfish, and stupid idea of super conferences...

We need to make extremely aggressive and risky moves now, or be left behind forever...

Agreed.

It's refreshing (and frankly, pretty surprising) to see our admin so proactive in this.

Now everyone get out to Ford on Sat!

Great to see these. The atmosphere would be crazy if that stadium were full for a big time opponent.

Would this include construction/completion of the visitor's locker room in the Southwest corner of the stadium?

These are the original renderings from when Ford was built and are very conceptual for seeing how many seat are possible. I would expect A LOT more premium type seating similar to what TCU is doing, and less overall seating totals, but not dramatically so (maybe topping out at 48,000).

My other concern with the second deck on the East side is what I brought up on the residential common threads. I don't see how they have the needed fire clearance between a stadium addition on that side and the placement of the western most building in the residential commons. Not insurmountable, but it appears the school wasn't planning on the athletic department ever needing to add a deck.

BTW, this can be solved. The Chicago Cubs Wrigley Field Outfield bleachers are blocked in by city streets (Waveland and Sheffield). To solve the problem and add seats, they partial cantelevered some of them over the sidewalk, but they didn't add a separate deck above.

At Ford with a new, second tier deck, you can build both over the current seats and the east side promenade without effecting the road.

You got me! If we don't get AQ/BCS status, I am all for placing an Olympic Pool at the 50 yard line of Ford and covering it.
