What was up with the all the O line false starts?

You are correct, UTEP was messing with the snap count.

They were counting out the huts...which is ILL-legal and the refs didn't call it.

I agree it is illegal for the defense to mimic the snap count, however don't we snap on the lifting of the leg of the QB and no verbal snap count? If it is true that we do not snap on sound, then the defense can make any noise they want since there is no sound to mimic.

Do JJM or Padron actually make a verbal sound at the snap? I have never heard one and I have been there for some very quiet stadium games like the "all out" debacle.
