Iowa and SMU would be a nice matcup. Especially since Hayden coached here and then later brought Iowa fball back to life. He is a real icon there and it would be a nice gesture to have him play some part in the festivities.

Iowa would be great because they travel well.

if we're playing in that game i'd rather beat Northwestern or Purdue, than lose to Iowa.

it's called winning. would i rather beat Iowa, sure, you think that we have a shot at doing that this year? then someone has brainwashed stallion.

i'd like to be playing and beating top 25 teams week in and week out, it's not happening. we're not ready for that yet. what good did the loss at A&M do for us, really? if we had played someone like Arkansas St, and were 4-0 going into TCU, you think we'd be any less prepared for that game?

what about if we didn't play TCU or A&M (or navy for that matter) and played beatable teams. and what if we did that and were 12-0 at the end of the season?

I'm not exactly sure why people on this board want to shrink away from competition. Didn't know they awarded losses before playing a game. Why not just play a Sunbelt team say we won a bowl game and pat each other on the back.

In a few years when we have some legit talent everyone here will be amped up to go giant-killing, right now it makes sense for some to be apprehensive about taking on legit AQs when we can barely handle teams in our own conference.

Yeah come on the only reason David beat Goliath was because God was on his side and SMU lost it's affiliation with the church and only teaches evolution oh wait that was a different thread...
