Certainly better than UCF and UNT.

I wished KP was the QB at UCF

SMU better paper, more prestigious, quality stadium - lights turf debacle.

Campus no, women no,.crowd at games no. Paper works great if you're quality

Figured I'd try to revive this thread rather than make a new one.

The good news: SMU's defense is ranked #18 overall.

The bad news: UCF's defense is ranked #2 overall and #1 against the pass.

This game could be the ugly. Hoping it isn't though as I plan on driving down for the game, but what do you all make of these stats?

We are coming off of a bye week, so the emotions of the TCU wins should die down by then. Chance for players to get healthy. Chance for revenge after last years championship game. Time to take a breath and focus on the tough stretch of games we have.

UCF hung with BYU and destroyed a horrible BC team...lost to FIU as well. Hard to tell which UCF team you will get each week (like many CUSA teams these days). I will be curious to see how they play at home next week against Marshall, who just beat Louisville.

I think we could really beat UCF badly or lose an ugly game depending on which UCF team shows up. Either way, I have no idea what to expect. I would say our defense rivals theirs. Also kepe in mind that UCF has Marshall who lost to 2 top 25 teams and beat Southern Miss and Louisville. Marshall might actually pull out a win against UCF. It's not completely out of the question to see UCF lose 3 straight coming into SMU.

If we truly have arrived, these are the kind of games we figure out how to win. You cannot lose a game like this at home. Are we there yet?

Are you sure about this? I remember beating them at Ford a couple years ago. Unless it was one we were up and then gave it away late. I was drunk and probably forgot.
