The Big 12 is going to have a difficult time attracting bigger names because of the LHN issue. It devalues the conference affiliation.

Honestly, I think we are going to be fine now regardless of how things turn out. The worst case scenario was 4 16 team super conferences, and that isn't going to happen for sure.

Scenario 1: Big east and big 12 somehow manage to stay intact by adding a couple of schools. There are still 6 BCS conferences, and the CUSA and MWC will play a title came to send one team to a BCS bowl.

Scenario 2: Big east and the big 12 merge. The current BCS setup requires 6 BCS conferences. In that case, the best teams in the MWC and CUSA will get together and form that 6th conference. We would be part of that organization.

It's amazing how many Big 12 "insiders" there are at SMU. In the coming days they may have a new commissioner. NO ONE knows for sure what the Big 12's goals will be a week from now. Not even the Big 12.

Rivals college sat. ch. 91 reported at 3:00pm. today that the Big 12 is going to take TCU, West Virginia, and Louisville. Sounds about right if they can keep it together.
