ok, if our guys had that sort of reaction, i'm ok with the black jerseys once or twice a year.

i'm not so old that I don't remember what it's like to suit up in a uni that you think is bada$$.

If our guys had that reaction to black jerseys why did they get their asses handed to them by Army?

I said red and blue, and everyone has white because it's a nuetral color.

black is a neutral color. that's all these schools are doing is using an alternate neutral color.

I'm not anti-black if it's done right, but on the other hand, I'd be willing to bet our kids would get just as fired up if we announced (with or without the dramatic video) we were getting pro combat.

Our all whites in pro-combat, with a matte white helmet would be awesome. Tea sippers were able to use pro combat and preserve the traditional look.

Our uniforms for the Army game were awful. Either go all out, or don't do it at all. Matte black helmet, black uni & pants.

It must have been a huge let down for the players to see this helmet & not get to wear it for the bowl game.

I think another good look would be to go all navy (yale blue, excuse me), still a dark, intimidating color, make the helmet a matte dark blue, red pony & numbers with white outline.

agreed. i think there could be some really cool stuff done. doesn't have to be permanent. a one game thing. TCU. or UCF. maybe even UH

Because our Uni's against Army were weak. They looked pieced together at the last minute with existing uniform parts. The Ohio reaction is exactly what our players and recruits would do. I'm all for it, if they do it right and bust it out for a big game. We have great colors and they will never change, but this is what gets recruits and players excited these days...

But the young kids like them, I like them (maybe 33 years old is the cutoff and after that you are too old.) Recruits like them, and thats all that matters to me.

I'm not a fan of the black uni trend but the black helmet with white pony does look good.

Also agreed that if we're going to do something like that, let's go all out and get publicity, good or bad, ala Oregon or Maryland
