I was really impressed with Thompson, he made some great catches for his first action.

I think Jones figures Padron is getting plenty of touches during practice, and until McD has a horrible game, Jones will give him the needed game experience that Padron already has. Sadly, I no longer see this team getting to eight wins. Too many turnovers. Seven, maybe, with a little luck.

MCD throws with no zip on the ball, I am worried that athletic secondaries and LBs will break on his ball for interceptions, especialy because they can over play the short to intermediate routes because he can't really throw deep. I have seen nothing from MCD in all his time in that makes me think he is good at all. He makes plenty of bad reads and mistakes and just doesn't throw as well as KP does (when KP is playing ok). Unfortunately I think June has decided to go with MCD and he is stubborn and will not ever admit a mistake. I think KP saw no time this game so june could pad MCD stats and try and stop people from questioning his call or give him something he can point to to say MCD is doing well when in reality he has looked mediocer to poor.

its a shame too because TCU is as vulnerable as they are ever gonna be. All we had to do was get Padron some confidence and we had a chance. Look at McD's body language on the field, its not good. and i see no leadership spark for a senior. Just flat and the offense is completely void with him at the helm. By the way, the first few throwing fakes actually did look good, then they started not to, and by the end it looked so high school.

It is completely disappointing because I agree that TCU is vunerable for a loss this year but we have decided to play a bad qb because our starter got flustered at Kyle field (which is a rediculously short leash to have for someone who threw 40 Td's last year).

biggest game of the year, or maybe of the past 10 years given the college football world today, and I am not looking forward to it.

I don't want to see both. I don't want to see MCD at all, on his best day he is not good enough IMO to beat a good team. KP at least has the physical talent to let us win even if he is a head case.

KP has not been throwing well in practice. JJM has more zip when he wants to put some mustard on it.

Let's compare today's stats with the most similar game from last year, UAB. UAB is better than Memphis, but Padron also had half a year to practice that McD doesn't: http://espn.go.com/ncf/boxscore?gameId=30254256718-33 for 145 yards passing offense. Padron ran for 66 yards.
