Shouldn't it be Half Acre of Hell. Hell's Half Acre sounds like the Hell had to go through some real estate downsizing due to the recession and this is all they are left with.

Guy1: Did you here about Hell?
Guy 2: Yeah tough year had to sell off a lot of land.
Guy 1: Yup there's what's left, Hells Half Acre.

Sounds more depressing than menacing.

also, given that a football field and one acre are roughly the same size, does this mean that hell only has rights to half the field?

They're using a play on an area of saloons in ft worth back in the cattle drive days which was called hells half acre.

So should we call the playing field at Ford Dallas Alley ?

I am thinking we can score on them. Heck, we scored 24 last year against a much better D. The key will be our defense and putting pressure on Blaise Pascal.

Okay, so that's who I think of when I see the name on the back of his uni. Doesn't everyone think of French mathematicians when analyzing football.
