BYU has their own network and Texas has their own network. Sounds like they need to be together.

Yes but the footprint of those schools would justify a huge increase in TV Rights. The size of the market footprint would more than double

I understand the odds, but my dream is to have SMU accepted in the ACC, SEC or PAC-12.

CofC's hire hot-shot new HC with deep Texas-recruiting ties.

At introduction presser, he simply says..."We are coming after YOU longhorns"

We are the only school in this state who actually could, too bad we will never be given the chance.

SoCal- what the hell are you smoking? You advocate getting rid of JJ and then say we are coming after the whorens? I want us to move up as badly as anybody but that hardly includes getting a new coach to do so.

GO PONIES!!!

RP,

I'm talking about 3 years from now after JJ has retired to the Big Island.

Point is I would love for SMU to have the opportunity again to go 'Mano-a-Mano' vs UT, but I realize it isn't going to happen.

When I attended, back-to-back wins in Austin against two very good longhorn teams, not too shabby.

Despite some pretty bad publicity, UC is a pretty good academic school with some really strong programs. UL, not so much.

UC is ranked 143rd by US News - lower than any current B12 school other than Tech (160). UL & WVa tied at 164.

I honestly can't imagine there are only 159 schools in America better than Texas Tech.

I remember getting into an argument with a manager at a bar back in college. Bartender had stolen money me while I was buying drinks. Gave him a $50 for 2 beers expecting change. Apparently, you don't get change or as I was told by the manager, the bartender can place your change anywhere on the bar he wants you have to find it. I was dumbfounded. Asked him if he went to school to get where he was, he said he had gone to TT. Then I made the mistake in telling him I understand now why they are so incompetent and that I actually feel sorry for him. To say the least I got kicked out. Bastards still owe me change!

The only difference is that BYU's network has distribution.

BYU network is on my cable lineup already. Is the LHN even available in Austin yet?
