agreed...that is key. It needs to be someone they would listen to also. A lot of players are in fraternities, that would help.

Take a full page ad out in the DMN sports section publicizing the $40.33 ticket deal or put it on a Dallas billboard. We do need the students but we need 4 times more than the students. We need the whole Dallas community.

There is nothing short of a medical excuse or a death of an immediate family member that should interfere with anyone who supports SMU from being at this game. And no, one of those stupid bridal or baby showers where men are invited, is not an excuse. Neither is a wedding, other than possibly your own, a valid excuse. Bring your neighbors and their families as well. I am treating my next door neighbor (a graduate of an Ivy League school) and his two kids to the game. Nothing to stop us from buying a few extra tickets for family and friends for this one.

I really like the idea of someone from the school driving around the boulevard loop with an air horn or something. Do they still have the squires? Maybe those guys could do it?

One other thought....SMU sends out that email advertising the ticket packages you can buy for $10 a ticket, with minimum purchase of 25 tix. I'm going to try and get my company to buy a bunch and offer them to the employees. Great atmosphere for people to take their families, and easy way to fill the seats. I'm sure if enough of us forward that email to our respective HR departments, we could add a few hundred butts in the stands.

UCF travels about like SMU and this venue is at the bottom of their list.

Great idea. We are driving up Friday night. Taking the kids to the State Fair, then to the game. Will make Mustang fans out of all of them.

I am screwed - my son's 4th bday. I will have to do some serious juggling and sucking up, but will be there (I assume).

Maybe not for this game as people from the 'inviting conferences' will probably be looking at how well UCF travels as well as how well we fill Ford. GO PONIES!!!

We need June to come out and make a blunt statement like Fatterson a few yrs ago who said "GET YOUR DAMN BUTTS IN THE SEATS" or Mack Brown when he first arrived at Texas "Come early, be loud, wear burnt orange, stay late"

But you could have planned to have the kids after football season.

Good point; but I won't have to worry about it for another 7 years, right.

Full page ad in DMN publicizing season tickets for $40.33. Won't happen, SMU would lose money on the deal
