I'm sure I'm missing something but I just don't get all the obsession with conference talk. Just WIN! I'd rather be undefeated and be in the CUSA and complaining about not being in the championship game than join the Big12 and be a sort of middle of the pack team with 2-3+ losses (or more) ... not to say we couldn't still be undefeated in a Big12 type conference but ... rather be a big fish in a small pond and build our brand that way. I know there's a lot more money to be possibly earned in an AQ conference but last time I checked SMU's got plenty of money. I look forward to beating TCU and any of those other 'big' schools ... JUST WIN!!! Then again, I'm not from Texas and didn't grow up there so I could care less about the regional rivalries ... personally, since I live in SoCal I'd rather see SMU join a Pac12 / Pac 16 than anything ...

We don't have as much revenue flowing in as you think. We would take a BCS AQ Conference check any day be it from the Big East or Bevo 12.

I don't see how anyone can deny this. We were behind TCU before, but now we are essentially UNT next to TCU. They are DI-A and we are DI-AA. This can be overcome, but it makes our job much harder.

We need bold moves, now.
