Why would we care about fans? It's about being part of the big boys club in an AQ conference. Anyone who think staying in CUSA is better is delusional. We can always join a non-BCS conference. Getting in to an BCS conference is the hard part.

I don't see any teams "in the vicinity"

Two years of AQ status until ND's contract with NBC expires, Then Big Ten courts ND again, Pac 12 takes another look at Texas, OU, etc., and the floodgates open

Odds we get a Big East invite?

60%?

Better?
Jones said he would probably reach out to Patterson "after he settled down a little bit." Then Jones laughed.

but what is the Big East going to look like. Seriously they could be down to 1-2 teams by the time we play a game. Is any school going to be a 1,000 miles-hell 2,000 miles from Dallas. Its going to be tough to build a FB Conference with the limitations caused by the BB Conference. I definitely could see a 12 team FB Conference rising from the ashes but the BB schools don't want that.

Stallion, what other current BE teams get raided besides Louisville? ACC isn't going to 16, B10 won't do anything until ND's NBC contract expires I don't think. It appears that WVU, Cincy, UConn, Rutgers, and USF are staying put in the BE

Perhaps the BE would assign its contractual right in the BCS to C-USA/MWC in exchange for taking the football schools and, of course, I nice hefty monetary payment.

I would rather align myself with WVU, Rutgers, Cincy, USF, and UConn for the next 2-3 years than UTEP, UAB, Rice, etc
