he is a 4 star on rivals. I am not sure how he would fit in our offense. I am not even sure we are recruiting him but if we are I would say that this improves our chances.
He didn't want to follow Garrett to Texas so why follow him here?

He didn't follow him to UT because he knew he was going to transfer.

I think the writing was on the wall for Gilbert at Texas plus he only had a greyshirt offer from Texas.

I'm all for Garrett and Griffing Gilbert. But are we sure that June Jones is going to want any more double initials on the team?
Jones said he would probably reach out to Patterson "after he settled down a little bit." Then Jones laughed.

I would say something, but I don't want to draw the ire of Samurai again.

Griffin is a TE. We don't use many TE's in our offense.

Maybe converts to a DE or OLB, THU doesn't have a prolific. TE attack either.

From what I understand, he is tall and lanky with good hands. Would this make him a good outside receiver?

If you can't find a use for a 4 star athlete, you shouldn't be a college head coach. We would find a place to use him.
