Guy is gone unless we promote him, he takes with him all our best recruits and a lot of the work for next year since he is the only guy working...

He is more important to the program than jj at this point...

This sounds like plan B of a poorly & tastelessly executed leverage play. I miss 3 days ago when we were [deleted] about unimportant stuffs.

I do wish at some point we could hear the other side of the story that had led to this.

What "reasonable" requests by this staff are being denied/ignored?

Klemm wants to move up, the money is just a bonus...

Guy wants to be a head coach. Jj is not going to promote him to oc over his current lemmings....

AK also has an NFL pension, which allowed him to be a volunteer coach. Combine the pension and a decent salary and he's doing ok. It's more about the career than $$$ for AK. Money isn't even second on the list. SMU can't afford to lose this guy. He's close friends with many current college coaches. He can put together a staff pretty quickly. And no Nick, I'm not AK.
