He will then declare for the draft, get picked middle of the first round by a team overreaching b/c they need a QB and he will have a similar pro-career as Ryan Leaf.
Man, I hope you're right. He's goofy, but he's not just a bad apple like Leaf was (is), so I don't see his world imploding like Leaf's did.

I was only comparing his on field success to Leaf. I don't believe he has the same personal issues as Leaf, who turned out to be a certified nut job. Although Manziel really could layoff twitter and getting himself into precarious positions.

No kidding. He shouldn't have a Twitter account. I don't feel sorry for him at all with the attention he gets, saying he can't walk around campus. Countless other star athletes have survived and even thrived in that sea of admiration without whining about it. Hopefully he'll be just like Vince Young, and "endure" another year of scrutiny in college, move on to the NFL ... and flop.

What a beautiful disaster that would be! On the other hand, I don't blame Manziel for tweeting what he did. I don't like A&M, either.

He is a 19 year old kid who hoped to enjoy college and play football. Now he cannot go any place or do anything without being approached, criticized, harassed....etc. Tough to figure out handle super star status and all the pressure when that is not what he wanted nor was he prepared to handle.

I agree with this for the most part. I do think Johnny Fooseball is a knucklehead; however I also feel that A&M is the only school with a student body and fan base that could overshower their star athletes with love and obsession to the point where an individual can't take it any further.

I agree with you to a point. What has been thrown at him at his age I would not wish it on any kid. Having said that, he has bought a lot of these "problems" on himself. The tweeting of pictures holding wads of cash, with bottles of booze, the list goes on and it is mostly typical stupid college stuff. The difference is he is the Heisman Trophy Winner and he represents Texas A&M University whether he likes it or not. I am going to assume his coach and or others within the athletic department at least briefed him and his parents on what to expect once he won the Heisman. As things started to snowball you would think his parents and maybe his HC would have advised him to cool it and lay low, maybe they did and he ignored them. Like you said he is only 19. He has been aresseted once that I can recall, I would think that would change the way you look at things or at least make you slow down. Now he tweets he can not wait to leave College Station, that should win him a lot of friends on campus. If he really did tweet this, it makes him look childish, bratty and spoiled. The only person he has to blame is the one that stares at him in the mirror.

I think he LOVES the publicity...otherwise he wouldn't always be putting himself out there w/twitter, etc. This kid isn't the first to win the Heisman and I have a hard time imagining A&M students bothering him all of the time. My feeling is that there is a good reason he has to take online classes and it doesn't have anything w/being a distraction on campus (what an ego!!!). My opinion is he is the Justin Bieber of football!

Not sure if this has been posted. The tweet was the result of a parking ticket that he received. I also heard from a reliable source that he has said he would like to play for KK @ TT.

Of course he loves the attention. He acts like a spoiled child who can do whatever he wants, whenever he wants.
