Re: Trivia: Best RB you ever seen live in College and Procollege - Dickerson - it is hard to describe how fun it was to watch him. That stride seemed like 5 yds at a time, and it seemed effortless - and his upper body was like a statue - it never moved.
for Pro i would say Emmit - just shear determination.
Re: Trivia: Best RB you ever seen live in College and ProEric Dickerson hands down. Wish the youngsters could have seen him. He'd still blow away the NFL
Re: Trivia: Best RB you ever seen live in College and ProGale Sayers was amazing...

Earl Campbell everybody else. Roosevelt Leaks wasn't too bad either before his knee injury-342 yards rushing, 359 yards Total Offense against SMU in 1973. (He was pissed after 3 first half fumbles). People forget but Leaks was 3rd in the Heisman as a Junior before he was injured as a Senior Last edited by Stallion on Tue Jul 16, 2013 10:45 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Re: Trivia: Best RB you ever seen live in College and ProClassic highlites of 1973 game which SMU lead 14-0 but Texas scored 42 unanswered points in final 23 minutes. Mustang greats Oscar Roan, Freeman Johns, Rickey Wesson, Alvin Maxson, Wayne Morris, Henry Sheppard-isn't Jim "Hacksaw" Duggan in there too?

Re: Trivia: Best RB you ever seen live in College and ProXavier Crawford. And I made the mistake of trying to tackle him once.
Re: Trivia: Best RB you ever seen live in College and ProI'd have to say single performance that I've seen might have to go to Matt Forte when he lit us up. I think he had like 300+ yds or something insane. Granted I've seen some better players, but that single performance was crazy

Re: Trivia: Best RB you ever seen live in College and ProBeing from San Diego, I got to see LT light it up for years. He was downright unstoppable.
Adrian Peterson after than. After that, just because of how fun he was to watch and where he ranks all time in rushing yards, Jerome Bettis BOP - Providing insensitivity training for a politically correct world since 1989.
Re: Trivia: Best RB you ever seen live in College and ProThat’s the hardest thing to do in any sport … list who was the best. Different eras, training, nutrition etc etc.
NFL 1) Jim Brown 2) Gayle Sayers 3) Barry Sanders 4) Emmet Smith 5) ED 6) Earl Campbell 7) AP in a few years ![]() College 1) Same a #8 2) Ricky Williams 3) Hershel Walker 4) Archie Griffin 5) Billy Simms 6) Ricky Bell
Re: Trivia: Best RB you ever seen live in College and ProYou left #19 off your college list. You're right that OJ needs to be on the list.
Re: Trivia: Best RB you ever seen live in College and Pro
I remember feeling great for about 2.5 quarters of that game. We were going to beat Texas! Remember the DMN's sports page heading the next day. S.M.U. springs Leaks Oh yeah....Dickerson best back I've ever seen in person over Campbell, Leaks, Line, Mike Richardson, and Herschell Walker. May the forth be with us.
Re: Trivia: Best RB you ever seen live in College and ProRicky or Peterson. Wildcard: SHAWNBREY MCNEAL.
Re: Trivia: Best RB you ever seen live in College and ProJamaal Charles is a good one also...especially with his Td run against OU where everyone in the stadium thought he was tackled only to break it for 60 yards
Re: Trivia: Best RB you ever seen live in College and ProEarl Campbell in College
Walter Payton and Barry Sims (tie) in the pros. - Those two played on some pretty bad teams for the most part of their careers. I was glad to see Payton win a Super Bowl even though Dikta did not give him a chance to score a TD and instead gave it to the large tub of goo known as, The Fridge. GO MUSTANGS!
