Multiple helmets and multiple unis would put the cool factor in at SMU.

The theme in college seems to be the more ridiculous the better. 17 year old kids love it and it gets more publicity (see maryland)

although i think the best uniform in sports is still Penn states traditional look

I think we can add variety to our uniforms without being "ridiculous." Blue jerseys, red jerseys, blue helmets, red, white, or blue pants, etc. With two primary colors we could do a lot of different things, assuming Nike actually gives a [deleted] about us. (They don't)

I'd like a silver helmet with a red mustang blue facemask with silver pants that had the blue and red stripes like the pony express pants had... Red pants for away games...

Throwbacks would be cool, too. Do one from each era, even going back to Doak with the leather helmets- the Redskins did something like this last season, with a helmet color that was made to look like leather.

It would be cool to bust these throwback helmets from the 60's out for a game, too:

I did think those looked good for them... But I feel that way because everything else they've had is ugly as sin...(referring to the redskins)

I still want to wear a helmet with a mane. I don't think there are any rules prohibiting it.

A tail would be cool too on the pants but that would help the other team tackle us better so I say no go on that one.

We could still keep our traditional unis but just add some more update cool unis as well. Hence the multiple unis. That way the grey hairs still have their type of uni as one in the set of multiple unis.

Houston's new jerseys look like something out of the YMCA leagues. Helmets and pants look fine.

These Houston Jersey's look a lot like what Arkansas has been wearing the past few years....

Could "tricked up" be "throw back?" I'd rather we not look like Oregon, personally, while still having some variety in our uniforms.

That being said, if we need to wear robot suits to attract more high-level recruits, then go for it

I think beating teams that people have heard of and going 10-2, 11-1 or 12-0 would do far more to attract "high-level" recruits than anything the team might wear would do.
