ECM, I'd vote for you. Let's see if we can't get you on the ballot And I have always hated the unbridled crap. That commercial that they had for it was absolutely awful.
Maybe Hart is sending a subliminal message to Aresco and the AAC...

The unbridled commercial was terrible.

Seriously though, is the AAC logo going to be on the field Friday night? It's inconceivable to me that we could [deleted] this up

pure genius. i vote we put the Fig Newton logo on the field - a la Ricky Bobby. "This sticker is dangerous and inconvenient, but I do love Fig Newtons."

Can't imagine we wouldn't have the conference logo on the field. Even for SMU level incompetence, that would be a new low.
Back off Warchild seriously.

I have no direct knowledge here, but have they not been having two a day practices in Ford Stadium all last week. There probably hasn't been a good time to get out on the field to apply the new logo. I don't know the schedule of when classes start and when the team goes back to one practice a day, but it can't take all that long to apply the logos and I'm guessing they will get it done this week before Friday. I am just guessing you understand.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

How do you even apply it on a fieldturf surface such as ours? Is it still just stenciled/painted on there?

Surely the logo will be there by Friday night, if not Banowsky will walk over and ensure that the C-USA logo stays there. BTW, the UH hoops court just had the AAC logo painted on.

There's two ways of doing it. You can either paint over it with special field turf paint stuff (more of a temporary fix) or they cut a chunk out and put down the new turf with the design already in it. It would make sense to cut the chunk out and replace it rather than having to paint it every few weeks, but it is SMU so you never know.
