I expected to lose, but I still hate losing. Hate it.

That said, Coach Mumme's offense will score some points, and we'll win some games. How many, I don't know ... There were times Gilbert looked sharp, other times not ... Jeremy Johnson and Darius Joseph played really well ... Really hope Shead and Joyner and Lancaster aren't hurt too badly ... Offensive line looked good at times, and looked completely out of sync at other times ... That Mayfield kid is going to have a good year this year, and will be really good in the future ... I assume Burcham didn't play because Gilbert needs to be comfortable in the new offense.

Teams are supposed to show a big jump between week 1 and week 2, right? OK, let's see it. Beat Montana State!

We better...if we don't...I think this could be June's last year at SMU.
0-4 isn't going to cut it.
So now Montana State is the most important game of the season!

I was at the game in my season ticket seats.

I think GG looked much better than last year. He didn't force the ball and made good decisions.

The defense tried to put pressure on Tech but couldn't get penetration .

The bottom line is that TTU simply has more talent - a lot more talent - than SMU. They just ground us down, didn't make stupid mistakes, didn't turn over the ball. Just let nature take its course.

What we have us that even though SMU is better than ever before - TCU, BU and TTU have accelerated past us in terms of talent, coaching and swag.

I do see a very good American conference team. I don't see a team that can compete in the Big 12 .

That's where we are. We have mid major talent and play to a mid major level.

We let a rookie coach and a Walk on Freshman QB torch us. Really!

You expected to lose with Tech down in talent having a walk on freshman start the game. Sounds like you are a hard core JJ supporter giving excuses. You are sickening.

Walk on true freshman.

Walk on true freshman who we didn't even offer.

There was no way SMU was going to beat Tech with their QB playing like that. He gets a A+ for perfectly executing gameplan. He was sharp-much better than Gilbert. He made about 2 mistakes all nite-fumbled but recovered and threw into coverage but we couldn't get interception. Wow! I was impressed. I thought he gave SMU a chance to win but I was wrong. Not sure if he has the deep ball though to stand out in Big 12 but Congrats to that kid for great performance

FIRE ALL the JJ hater WHINEY DONKEY'S REAR END IDIOTS from whatever they do :!:
You want to bring in a new version of Phil Bennett :?: :?: Been there done that :!:

We gave the Big Smelve Techos all they could handle for 3.3 quarters on national TV :!:

We've come along way since usually getting blown out in the first half with Bennett against the PIG PEN, OR whatever they should be called :!:

However, if a Jimmy Johnson like coach who won NCAA titles, and Superbowl wins should get bored with doing TV commentary, and want to coach us as a highly paid hobby, we should listen :!:
May the forth be with us.

New offense, Gilbert needs the reps. Besides June wants an extension and plugging in a noob QB isn't the best way to go about that with already limited offensive personnel.

I understand that June got us out of the hole. He is way too overpaid for how we've done since then.

Haven't you heard, we can't do any better than June and any replacement will automatically be worse than Phil Bennett (who had one hand tied behind his back with recruiting restrictions that are no longer in place). Nobody can win here but June (which means 8-5 is the best we can do).
