You would prefer we lose?
I would have preferred keeping Baylor on the schedule, at least that game would have sold out and told us a lot more about this team. We get nothing out of beating a FCS team no matter how good they are.
It counts as a win toward a bowl game.

Except a win.

But wait, it's just a preseason game...right?
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Oh yeah, anything to get closer to that 6 win mark so we can go to a bowl no one will watch and proclaim "Mission Accomplished".

SMU86, I appreciate your efforts to be upbeat and supportive. Don't let the Chicken Littles get to you. I know it can be a bit tiresome.

Nothing to do with the Chicken Littles. Just think we have a better chance with these guys than aTm or TCU. If the NCAA would allow it I would have all 4 OOC games against FCS teams so we could go 4-0.

Was it better when we were out of bowl contention by Halloween? I went through that for 20 years. I want bigger, better bowls like everyone else, but I'm ecstatic to be planning my holidays around a bowl trip.

Well I guess if we keep doing the same thing we will get the same result. No better and no worse. Glad you are so excited.

Aren't you the one on the other thread talking about ten wins, top 25 and a major bowl next year with the same coach? How is that consistent with this statement? I am confused. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

How long are these third-tier throwaway bowls you plan your holidays around going to satisfy you? Ever want to win a conference title, get ranked, play in one of the Access Bowls or beat a Big 12 team? Do you think your hero June Jones can deliver?
