Not comparable. UH is a public institution that happily services kids from mainly blue-collared (and of course some white-collared) backgrounds. While Smoo and Princeton on the other hand are comparable because they are both private institutions who primarily service kids from wealthy backgrounds.


Regardless, this isn't about wealth but about how to improve SMU's dreadful attendance and not get outdrawn by Highland Park HS.

For example, I hate TCU and their athletic program, but I don't spend hours trolling their message board and making fun of their fans, seeing as how I have better things to do with my life. I like SMU and I support SMU, so I post here often. If you like Houston so much, go post on their board. I sure as [deleted] won't see you over there and that's perfect.

Doubt it. Being a minority, scoring a 24 on the ACT and finishing in the Top 15% of your class goes a long way.

Ever hear of the concept of standard deviations? You are more than 1 standard deviations from the average for SMU. That's a lot (ie, likely bottom 10%). You would have to be top 5% of your class and mixed races (including some cherokee).
