I almost choked on my rib basket but I agree with Stallion, there is no reason why SMU does not bring at least 5k fans to TCU. We should be more than selling our allotment. I'll be there.

I simply do not believe that our athletic department would send those tickets back so early.

While I agree I don't know why it's done-it has been Standard Operating Procedure for at least a decade to send tickets back 10 days to 2 weeks before game. In SWC days they kept them longer.

Seems like it's SOP to send them back at just under two weeks. TCU wants to sell the remaining tickets and SMU isn't under any obligation. It's held onto the tickets for quite a while.

I read from Tech fans that TCU only kept 600 of their allotment to that game. Now this could have been Tech fans being Tech fans, or TCU traveled really poorly to Tech. Then again, not many students can go to an away thursday night game.

Crazy to give them back one day after game time announced, especially for a local game where fans don't have to schedule a trip to the game and so a few hours may make a difference

Its amazing this [deleted] it still going on after 4 Bowl Games and demonstrates exactly why we are pretending to have a future in big time college football. I do love reading the clueless come up with every excuse they can think of to deny the truth though in comparison to the most comparable university to SMU. Probably won't have to worry about it much longer because TCU will probably be dropping SMU soon. Who could blame them except then they would lose that home game in Ford Stadium every other year. Let's see too frightened to play Baylor at home-don't bother to attend TCU game. Irrelevancy-SMU fans have earned it.

I've sat my [deleted] in a seat at every home game for 48 years and haven't missed a TCU game home or away in 45 years

It doesn't really matter since SMU doesn't have to pay for unused tickets. It's just a pride thing.

SMU has had the tickets for quite a while. Now the SMU fans that were waiting on the game time announcement can buy the same seats from TCU's ticket office. I hope they do.

It makes sense for TCU to want the tickets back because it's the natural place for fans to buy tickets for the game. I assume this would be true for SMU's home game against TTech as well, if the Red Raiders didn't have demand for all of the tickets a couple weeks out.
