Yes, he used to go to some away games in the good old days. My folks once helped Peruna get back to Dallas on a rainy night from Waco when his trailer broke down...

Remember Reveille is a Five-Star General, she is the highest ranking member of the Corps of Cadet which takes directions from a barking dog. Man the Rice band could really do something with that theme

I was told, many many years ago, maybe in the 70's or very early 80's. During halftime of RIce/A&M game the MOB supposedly formed a fire hydrant and played, Oh where, oh where has my little dog gone". Don't know if it is true, maybe some one can verify if it is. Either way it is pretty funny and I would not put it past the MOB to pull such a stunt.

I am hopeful that SMU offense can continue to improve, will be well rested and at least control the clock somewhat with the running and dink and dunk passing game, GG continues his steady, no turnover play, and actually stretches the field a bit...Continued strong special teams play, a couple of turnovers for SMU defense, throw in a surprise onside kick, some inclement weather and... VOILA!!! It's SMU 37 Tamu 34 F " Thanks SmoooBoy, for starting this thread!

I don't know about you guys, but that 45 point spanking in Dallas last year really made me hopeful. I think our last trip to college station was also a real success, so clearly I'm incredibly optimistic

We haven't actually beaten a&m in my lifetime
And average margin is over 32 points post dp (including over 44 points in the past 3 games)
But I guess that is reason to be optimistic if you are delusional?
Go ponies.

If Rice could play A&M respectably, maybe we can too. Our offense will have a some chances agains thteir defense, but I shuder to think about what Manziel will do our defense. I just hope we improve the score differential better than last year. At this point SMU will have a 6-6 seaosn at best.

Any given Saturday...I always have faith we can win until the final buzzer and I, unlike Sam I Am, don't believe 6-6 is the best we can do, win or lose this week. There is still a not improbable path to 7-5

I am going into this one with a clear idea of how bad it could get, but two things to consider in IMHO: first is that we have consistently played up/down to the perceived level of our opponent; ain't a bigger one on our schedule so guys should be pumped to play that level team in a crazy atmosphere. Two, nobody expects ANYTHING in terms of us being competitive, and when you have nothing to lose it has an uncanny ability to calm folks down and fire them up at the same time. Anything could happen, and until someone tells me we've forfeited I'll go in backing our boys to #shocktheworld.

First, yes we can beat A$M. It will take a perfect game and some lucky bounces but it is possible.
Second, I am glad Peruna isn't going. A hot young 4 legged stud such as Peruna would no doubt be in high demand by lonely cadets.

I look forward to TCU. I choose not to acknowledge the existence of the upcoming beatdown in College Station. This game is simply not a part of my mental football schedule. If, in fact, the Mustangs pull off the greatest miracle in the history of SMU football, then I will change my position. I will also write to the Catholic church and submit this miracle as a bona fide reason to consider June Jones for sainthood.
Finally, if the miracle occurs, then I think there should be an outright ban on PF of ANY criticism of June Jones for any reason EVER AGAIN.

"throw in a surprise onside kick..." Tried that a couple years ago there. Anyone remember?
